remoor's exclusive cast remoor canons haunt  This individual has caused a recent bout of racism against ghosts, ghost-types, and spirits. This person has the ability to control ghosts, and the material that composes them, like someone might an instrument. They can also force possession. Using possessed members of Pravus, mostly lower-ranking ones, they set off a series of bombs in locations known to be frequented by the organization. A lot of collateral damage has occurred. The location, background, appearance, and all other information is unknown. It seems they may be related to the former elite-four Edgar Crane. ? x ANTI-PRAVUS x GHOST-CONTROLLING TERRORIST

While they disguise their actions, Pravus is far from a gentle caretaker. Pravus has little use for things that go against their world views of order, forced human evolution, and scientific advancement. At the current moment, using advanced weaponry and Pokemorphs, Pravus is the only thing standing between Nada Citadel and death. In return for the protection, people are taxed heavily. Much of this money goes forward to fund not only Pravus but some semblance of public well-being. Pravus is mostly a place for the successful, ambitious, loyal, and intelligent; it heavily recruits in colleges. Its professions range widely; much of them rely on science, technology, or warfare. Those who do not display a useful quality, or who are not related to someone of influence will be left in the cold. Traitors are subject to harsh punishments, societal exile, and execution. anti-pravus  Those in this alignment dislike Pravus and their chosen actions; they are usually personally effected by the darker side of the government. While once growing in power, especially before the war, the loss of their main headquarters crippled this alignment. The wide variety of its membership, ranging from vengeful terrorists to starry-eyed orphans, does not help establish its reputation in the region at large. Much of its membership are just as dark as what they claim to fight. The fact that those in this alignment face harsh punishments, including death, make many reluctant to take part. A new group has risen to try to revitalize the shattered movement. This group, which has its main hold in New Barkwish, is known as the Remoor Liberation Front (RLF). They desire freedom, equity, and an end to group that caused the infection. POKEMON RIGHTS’ ACTIVISTS  Pokemon Rights’ Activists (PRA) fight for the equality of all Pokemon. Many trainers are slowly turning to this side of the equation as it becomes more commonplace. This group calls for an end to breeding programs, experimentation, Pokeballs, unlawful imprisonment, and limited legal rights. They stage protests on a fairly common basis. Flyers are passed out on street corners. Sometimes, much like with Anti-Pravus, these protests turn violence. neutral  The vast majority of people in Remoor are reluctant to take part in the current conflict. They go about their daily lives paying little attention to what happens behind the scenes. Most citizens, unless they directly offend Pravus, are blind to the occasional dark actions of their government. These are the citizens that will ultimately deal with the effects of the coming war. |

with proper practice comes perfection Leveling and Battling It's a dog eat dog world out there! Remoor is a hot-spot for battling, training, and capturing Pokemon. Many people make their living off of Pokemon fights. We strive for realism in battling. A Caterpie, no matter its level, will have a hard time against a Steelix. A plant type will burn when faced with fire. We do not have levels at Remoor. We instead have brackets for battling Pokemon. These allow for greater flexibility in battle, more realistic battles, and diminish any need to look at statistics. categories NON-BATTLER. These are Pokemon who do not battle. They can be elderly, despise the process, or permanently handicapped. Their general level of battling experience does not matter. NEW BATTLER. Any Pokemon freshly hatched from its egg, or new to battling, falls into this category. Most of these Pokemon are relatively young. They easily fall prey to the Pokemon in other categories. This corresponds roughly to Pokemon levels 1-20. You must have two on-site battles to advance from this rank to the next. NOVICE BATTLER. These are battlers who have been around the block a few times. They have lost battles, won battles, and gained some level of experience. These are usually the Pokemon who would often be considered young adults. This bracket corresponds to all Pokemon between levels 21 and 40. You must participate, on top of those three previous battles, in four more to become adept. ADEPT BATTLER. These are battlers who have been around the block a few times. They have lost battles, won battles, and gained some level of experience. These are usually the Pokemon who would often be considered young adults. Most of you, unless we have a few highly intelligent animals or extraterrestrials as members, are humans. The ones in Remoor are just like us. They just happen to live in a world full of Pokemon. They live to be about 100 years old. Many of Remoor’s elderly died during the war with mutants. Humans have no powers or special abilities. Unlike other races, they are susceptible to psychic attacks and ghostly possessions. However, they make up for these weaknesses through their sheer number. Humans are part of every alignment known to man. Gifted ones, especially those that are successful and intelligent, are often recruited by Pravus. These are the people who can use telekinesis, set things on fire with their mind, and leap tall buildings in a single bound. Mutants are far rarer than normal humans and a small subset of the population. A mutation is also the only way, aside from a god's gift, that humans can live beyond a hundred years old. While there is a wide spectrum for powers, ranging from physical to mental, there are some things mutations cannot do. These powers do not allow users to change their size or grow body parts. A mutant may be able to fly like Peter Pan; they cannot grow a pair of wings to do it with. They are, for the most part, weaker than most Pokemon. In society, mutants are usually either idolized or feared for their abilities. Some believe that their gifts come from supernatural sources, while others view them as either an evolutionary advancement or step back. All mutants are born with their powers. Any attempts to synthesize these powers for humans have ended in failure and death. However, most of the time, unless the ability is meant to be latent or is unusually strong, a mutant must use their power somewhat actively, unless it fades away. Mutants are particularly troublesome for the morphing process, as they cannot be morphed without serious complications or death, regardless of how competent they are in their abilities. Weak powers are far more common than powerful ones. Many powers are also disadvantageous to their user. Mutants are found in every alignment possible. They are very rarely Pokemorphs; there are some exceptions to this rule before this clash was discovered. Mutants are banned from many jobs. Some people make a habit out of discriminating against mutants in the workplace. Some restrictions make sense. Those who can control or generate flames are banned from working with dangerous chemicals. This has become easier to accomplish as of late. Pravus has discovered the genetic markers for mutants. It allows them to screen for mutants in the Pokemorph process. Many mutants, who were formerly unaware of their abilities, are now being tested and prodded. Most mutations are not beneficial. A large hole has been blasted through the Nada Citadel wall in the family district. No one knows for sure how it occurred, however, the result of the incident is a large scale invasion of infected pokemon. These pokemon now have the freedom to slip into the city and attack anyone in their way, causing chaos throughout all the districts. As Pravus struggles to reclaim control over the desperate situation, citizens are recommended to stay indoors and off the streets to avoid any conflict with the infected. While areas such as the family district and slums are starting to evacuate due to the high concentration of infected.
Pravus members and strong trainers also scatter into the streets in attempt to eliminate or lessen the threat while rescuing those in need of help. Pravus, though heavily armed and making headway, is offering rewards for those who fight against the infected.
A reward of 25 dollars will be given for every infected pokemon killed during the event.
Any threads created in Nada during the event will have a high chance of encountering infected or other events relating to the chaos. Members are also recommended to have their characters react to the situation in these threads even if no events or encounters occur. Older threads are also free to react to the invasion as long as it fits the established setting of the thread. If a member desires an encounter or event to occur in their thread, post a request in either the shout box or notification thread. The more members in a thread, the more interesting the encounters and events will become.

Remoor is a large landmass in an archipelago near the Kalos Region. It was once a common destination for tourists, trainers, and scientists. Its pleasant weather, beautiful coastal waters, and wondrous scenery attracted people like bees to pollen. But twelve years ago, when Mewtwo appeared on the horizon, all of that changed. The clones looked at this paradise and saw a perfect home.
This land of white shores, clear blue waters, and bustling metropolises soon became a wasteland. And in this now desolate world, a corporation, similar to Rocket, arose to protect the region. Pravus, making use of their highly organized regiments and powerful pokemon, battled against the monster from across the ocean. They crafted a new weapon, in the form of scientifically created unions of man and Pokémon. These beings, known as Pokemorphs, were able to tolerate attacks from the things they faced, and began to turn the tides of battle in favor of Pravus. In the aftermath of this brutal year, much of Remoorian society was destroyed and the gym system was disbanded, never to fully regain its footing. From this destruction, containing many former gym leaders and the shattered remnants of the old rebellion, arose the Remoorian Liberation Front. They are an organization set on taking Pravus down by any means. Their methods vary between diplomatic and wide-scale violence, but they have accomplished little.
Towns had been decimated by sheer power of the clone attacks leaving so many homeless, fields lay barren and scorched causing desperate food shortages and widespread starvation. Remoor, the one time paradise, had become a failed state. Once again, Pravus came to the rescue: the company helped home refugees; began public works projects in order to feed the hungry; and using their own personal funds, single-handedly bolstered the economy. The public cheered and celebrated the people who had come to their rescue. But one by one, official by official, things began to change. Within three years, the formerly democratic government found itself mostly usurped, with the President of Pravus became the de-facto leader of the region. A freedom-fighting group, known as the Rangers, arose from the masses and fought against them; until an explosion destroyed their base and broke the back of this resistance.
Under Pravus rule training was limited, mutants, those born with powers, were tracked. Anyone vocal against Pravus seemed to vanish or find their lives slowly becoming unpleasant. Resistance was minor, because as most of the country remained ravaged, Pravus seemed better than the alternative. The common man believed that losing a few freedoms was worth the cost of safety. Slowly, things were moving back towards island paradise until roughly a month ago.
The science department of Pravus, hoping to bolster a poor public image after a deadly rebellion, stumbled upon a solution to repair the barren soil. This compound, known as MC84, was nicknamed “Miracle Compound”; yet instead of salvation, it brought destruction. Pokémon that came into contact with it, usually via contaminated water, soon found themselves displaying rabies-like symptoms. These beasts... These infected... now rampage across the land and lay waste to all in their path. Refugees began to flee to Nada Citadel, seeking to escape the certain death at the claws and fangs of these tainted pokémon.
Because of the sudden massive influx of refugees, the city once again became a battleground. People were forced to fight for food and land, and differing factions began to tear the place apart. Tenement housing arose and brought rampant crime. Infected smuggling, which resulted in untold destruction, became highly commonplace. The only bright spot wass the rebuilding of the beachfront resort of Fantasma City; yet it soon became a place for only the wealthy and Pravus-oriented. This only served to increase tensions and further highlight the divide between the poor, the Pravus, and the otherwise.
Mutants and Pokemorphs now live in fear of frightened mobs tearing down their doors and assaulting them. Pravus administrators are finding death threats in their mailboxes. Ghosts and other spirits fight for rights they once had, and exorcisms are being pushed after a terrorist began using them for nefarious purposes. Pokémon, now losing many gained rights, are rebelling. Pravus fluctuates between the hero and the villain. Legendary Pokemon walk the streets with various allegiances; yet even these gods may be in danger. The entire region is a powder keg. The infected are managing to find their way into weaknesses on all sides. With some old routes reopening, formerly sealed locales being pulled apart, and secrets all over, the region is exploding. |

the long chain of events remoor timeline 500 YEARS AGO - Pravus is created as a society of mutants, academics, and those that consider themselves ‘superior’. These people link together to eventually create a brotherhood of businesses. They adopt the colors navy and white
75 YEARS AGO - Pravus begins to attempt experiments on human beings. These include amplifying powers, mixing DNA, and creating Pokemorphs. Nearly all of these projects are failures. Some glimmers of hope, especially in an age where humanity wants to evolve itself, result in money being thrown at these projects.
50 YEARS AGO - The first 'successful', though deformed, Pokemorph is created. This being is considered a sign of great success and further emboldens Pravus to try again. The science slowly evolves over the years in secret.
8 YEARS AGO - Mewtwo and his clones arrive in the region. They settle on an island, a small rocky outcropping, far to the north. The government of Remoor decides to leave these strange Pokémon be; many trainers still try to capture them. The population of clones soon swells to overwhelm this place. They need more space.
7 YEARS AGO - Pravus begins to gain more and more outward power. Its days of ruling from the shadows seem to be ending; most members of government seem to be associated with the organization. There seems to be a pause placed on this when protests against them grow more heated.
7 YEARS AGO - The “Rangers”, once a group of Pokémon Rights Activists, begin to protest the acts of Pravus in public. They have a few gym leaders in their ranks.
7 YEARS AGO - Mewtwo and his clones attack a human settlement in the north. This city is quickly destroyed. This results in the collapse of one of the white-cliffs; many resulting ghosts, surprised by their death, emerge from these ruins. This marks the beginning of the war.
6 ½ YEARS AGO - Pravus is losing ground in a mountainous area of the region. This is the first battle in which they deploy Pokemorph soldiers. While the beings had been present in society, Pravus began creating them over 40 years earlier, this is the first time they saw use as soldiers.
6 YEARS AGO - The war ends with half the region destroyed. Pravus is victorious. Mewtwo is gone. Many of the gyms, cities, and natural habitat is now a smoldering mess. Much of the land cannot sustain human population. People begin to migrate to the cities that remain; this results in the north being mostly abandoned.
4 ½ YEARS AGO - The rangers lose credibility. Some of their protests turn violent. Somehow, though this is blamed on remaining clones officially, their base erupts into flames. Some members manage to escape. The rest are not heard from again.
4 YEARS AGO - A grateful populace sweeps Pravus members into public office. At this time, there are no Pokemorphs included in these ranks. The beings are now seen as guards and such. Some attacks occur; mutants who dislike the organization are found to be behind these attacks.
3 YEARS AGO - The Pravus majority votes into effect a registration system for both trainers and mutants. This requires any mutant to register their abilities or face jail-time or steep fines. Anyone with Pokémon is also required to register them. Pokémon and mutants both protest. They point out that those in Pravus are allowed to conceal this information from the public.
2 YEARS AGO - The democratic government is now revealed as something a bit different. It seems some members of Pravus are less understanding when they lose elections. Apologies are made for crimes committed. Members are arrested. The goal of Pravus is to dismantle the region’s current government and replace it; they will be more subtle. Pokemorphs become more commonplace.
1 YEARS AGO - The Remoorian Liberation front, after discovering incriminating evidence, forms together. They intend to destroy Pravus. This organization includes former gym leaders, government officials, anarchists, mutants, and those who were harmed by some of Pravus’ darker actions. They are more militant and better organized than the rangers.
8 MONTHS AGO - The last gym, the one in Nada Citadel, is shut down.
6 MONTHS AGO - The infection is released onto the region. Pokémon began to become sick. Some notice was released relatively close to the headquarters of the RLF. At the moment the outbreak is relatively small.
6 MONTHS AGO - A terrorist by the name of “Haunt” begins to initiate bombings across the region. This is soon followed by the resurgence of the Pokémon Rights movement. Violent protests, while quickly quelled, begin to appear.
1 MONTH AGO - The ports are closed to any travel outside of the region; this is supposedly to prevent the spread of the disease. The infection spreads quickly. Evacuations are ordered for much of the area. This leaves Nada Citadel as the only large settlement in the region.
1 MONTH AGO - Fantasma City, a beautiful beach front place destroyed by Mewtwo, is reopened to those of Pravus allegiance. This seems to lessen some of the conflict—for now. It also serves as a base for attacks against the infected. It is rumored the President of Pravus may be giving his position to another. The public is ready. |

Missions can be easily divided into the following five types. This should allow members to easily select what best fits their own story preferences, desires, and character development needs. STORY These are items meant to reveal certain bits of the story and setting to those participating. This can be for individual characters, groups, the region itself, families, or even complete strangers. Some items may have to approved by staff members in order to ensure consistency. INVESTIGATIVE These are investigating very specific incidents on site such as crimes, recent developments, and past events. These usually involve detective-like work. BATTLE If there is a battle, attack on a rival crew, or something similar, this type of mission applies. This could include a mission to evolve, destroy a member of the other faction, or clear out a certain type of infection. BOUNTY This is a different sort of investigative mission and typically involves trapping a certain target. This can include criminals, traitors, and even unfortunate little runaways STAFF-INITIATED EVENTS These are usually site-wide items such as infected outbreaks, holiday events, terrorist attacks, and other plot-altering events. These are available for very limited windows. difficulties NOVICE MISSIONS These are missions that typically involve little danger. They tend to be comedic, based on discovering information, or simply for fun. These are rewarded with ten points for each member who completes the mission and usually a small reward. ADEPT MISSIONS These missions have a medium amount of danger. There may be attacks from other groups, wild Pokemon, or authorities. These missions give fifteen points upon completion and a medium sized reward. MASTER MISSIONS This is the highest level of risk and danger. These missions may involve encounters with gods, dangerous criminals, and large amounts of infected. Character death, while by no means required, may be a realistic outcome at this level. all about cashing in the tokens Points System We want Remoor to be an active, shifting, and fun roleplay. We want to remain a place where your activity, contributions, and desires matter. We have decided to implement a system to do just that. Your posts will determine which direction the plot of the Remoor region takes. You can see the current tally in the top table of the site. It’s a bit like a game of capture the flag. The winner is announced at the end of each month and points are counted at mid-month and the last day of the month. The victorious faction receives a special event, large article in the on-site paper, location, or prize. EARNING Points can be earned in three different ways: IN CHARACTER POSTIN Each post will earn one point for a requested group. If no requested group is listed, it will automatically go to the group of the character. If Joseph Rebel is an Anti-Pravus character, and the player does not indicate a group, his posts add a point to Anti-Pravus. Otherwise, the point goes to the indicated group. POSTING IN EVENT OR BATTLE THREADS You will win extra points for completing a mission or event thread. The amount varies. CONTESTS Some site contests will allow players to select a group to receive points. These values range from 5 to 25 points. Some prizes will also allow groups to subtract points from others. TAGGING In order to indicate the groups, you must tag the alignment of your choice; this does not have to match your character’s alignment. The IDs for the alignments are the following: pravus, antipravus, neutral, and pokemonrights. Just put @username anywhere in the post.
